The Light Atlas is a three-part installation created for The Anti-Eviction Mapping Project. The Group used AEMP's data to create a large scale projection at 6th and Market in San Francisco. The projection asks, "Is this really the city we want to live in, really the city we want to create?" The second projection was in Oakland; it was a visualization of AEMP's community power map (video forthcoming). During both of these projections, group members engaged in dialogue with passers-by about their own experience of eviction and about the community institutions that they wished to preserve from gentrification, respectively. The Group also deployed social media robots to notify passers-by of the installation's activity. Finally, The Group also kept an internal record of their impressions of the campaign that was co-written with bots (video forthcoming).
